Test flight after cleaning the carb out a bit and also winding out the needle by 1 turn (richening it up)

Just hovering around the front yard.

Flight times were 5 and 6 minutes, with engine temps of 59 and 79

Beautiful conditions for flying.

I have installed a new pipe - Hatori 522, to fix the rattle in the old align pipe.  At this stage, I don't know if it has improved anything, as the engine has decided to run lean (as indicated by the engine temps

I still had a couple of nice flights though with loops, rolls and flips etc

The short 2 minute flight was annoying.  I decided to quit as the heli would idle beautifully, but would flame outwithin a minute or so of spooling up.

These were the first decent flights after the engine rebuild.

The first flight I took it easy.  I still did some flips and loops, but most of the flight was just doing circuits.

Second flight I stepped it up a little.  More flips, a couple of rolls and of course loops and stall turns.

The engine is definately quieter, but now I hear the rattle noise in the muffler LOL.  Also feels like it has a bit more power.  I think fuel economy has improved slightly as well.  Back to what...

Just a quick flight to check the motor after the rebuild (new ring and bearings)

Motor went well, started first pop into a nice idle.

The flight was just hovering about 1/2 to 1m off the ground

Unfortunately the flight was cut short (still had a small amount of fuel in the tank to use) as the plug had decided to die on me.  The engine would run fine with the glow starter but once that turned off, the engine would stall.

Max engine temp was 69 for the flight.of about 5...

Beautiful weather for flying today.  Best weather we have had for a while.

Both flights consisted of flips, loops, rolls, stall turns and piro stall turns.

Very enjoyable flights.  My back flips were very good, with me stringing together probably 10+ (I wasn't counting so im not really sure)  My forward flips weren't too bad, but were a bit wonky at times.

Rolls as usual need lots of practice, but im able to string a few together when flipping to the right.

Each flight...

This was sort of a show off flight down at the ex-wifes place to her fiance (also interested in RC).  Nothing special about it.  A few flips, loops and rolls and forward flight.

I did lean off the needle slightly, but will need a better flight to determine if the needle setting has helped or not.

Flight time was 9 minutes, max engine temp was 111

Weather was the nicest it had been for the whole weekend.  The clouds were thinning, but unfortunately the winds also started to pick up a bit.

Two very enjoyable flights.

Both flights consisted of the same moves (flips, rolls, loops, stall turns, piro stall turns etc)

I did do the left/right roll combination in FF that is required for gold wings.  Not very tidy, but i did do it. :)  I also strung together half a dozen or so continuous back flips.  I only stopped as the heli was drifting to the left.  My forward flips were terrible as I kept giving slight rudder input causing them to go off all wonky.  Did make for some rather interesting exits from the flips testing my "orientation awareness"

The weather was nice apart from the winds.  I decided to only have the one flight, as even though I had a good flight, I didn't enjoy fighting the winds

The winds made it hard to keep the heli close and low.  it was wierd having to fight the heli.  But the guys with the flybarred helis seemed to have to fight even harder.

Still managed to do some loops, flips and rolls.  The piro stall turns were hard.

The flight was 10 minutes and max engine temp was 94c
