Wonderful conditions for flying today.  Hardly a breath of wind, and some cloud.

First flights with the Radix blades.  CG of these blades were the same, with one blade being slightly heavier.

I played with the tail gain on the first flight, increasing it to try and fix the tail issues.  I went up to 75, but wasn't game enough to go any further as the high speed wag was a little hard for me to control, so I reduced it back down to 50 where it was "hoverable", then continued to reduce...

Beautiful conditions for a flight with hardly a breath of wind.

I was hoping to do circuits with the mini, but had orientation issues when it was about 30 metres away.  I have learnt with the Trex that even though the red canopies look good, they are hard to see, so I think I will be ordering some new canopies soon.

Also think I need better main blades and possibly a proper tail servo.  This used to be such a fun heli to fly and now its not.  Ever since the crash and I was unable to...

Well I maidened the 3G setup today in excellent conditions (hardly a breath of wind)

A total of two flights.  10 and 14 minutes a peice.  The second flight's maximum engine temp was 109c

I have installed the following setup: For the sensor, I have run 1 layer of 3m 4010 tape, spartan metal plate, then a 2nd layer of 4010 tape sensor then strapped down tightly (on the gyro mount above the front servos).

Elevator and Aileron Gains both at 12 o'clock.

Apart from an extremely...

A quick test flight to see how the 3G flybarless setup works.

I need to reduce the throws as the heli is extremely sensitive to inputs, but the tail has a really annoying kick and a slow wag.  I will give it a flight or 2 to see how it goes, but if I can't get anywhere, then I will plug the spartan back in.

Im looking forwards to getting down to the field on saturday and start dailling it in.

Beautiful conditions for flying.  The only let down were the clouds.

The flights were the usual circuits stall turns, stall piro turns and some turns turning towards me (instead of away from me as I usually do)

On the first flight (which I video recorded) I also did another barrel roll.  It was so nice with no wind.  The heli is really well trimmed and I was able to do some hands off hovering :)

Second flight much similar to the first, but no barrel roll.  I did flick up to stunt...
