Woohoo... My 100th flight with my Trex :)

Was a nice day for flying (I use that a lot don't I LOL) Clear skies, low to mid 20's, slight breeze...

This was the maiden flight with the new Turnigy 2s1p 2650ma LiPo RX pack, so I was eager to see how it would go.

Well initially all looked good.until about the 7 1/2 minute mark.  In the space of about 30 seconds, there were 3 hiccups, then that was it.

I was coming in to hover just before landing when the first one hit.  Not...

Apart from the humidity, It was very near perfect.

I had two flights, both enjoyable.  After completing the installation of the 8amp voltage regulator last night, I was looking forwards to see if the improved voltage (and amperage) would improve or stop the servo hiccups.

After the flights, It has certainly improved the hiccupping, but unfortunately not stopped it.  My new receiver battery should be here this week, so I will see how that goes.  I still need to improve the wiring layout...

A fun little flight with the Mini-Titan.

I had reduced the expoenjoyed the lower expo - A lot more responsive.  The flight consisted of piros, and some basic circuits

I haven't recharged this battery as it is puffing up by about 7mm after a gentle flight.  I will update the text below if i decide to recharge it before disposing of it

Battery #4 took xx ma to charge in yy minutes for a 7 minute flight.

Weather was great for flying and strangely enough, there wasn't a huge amount of flyers.

I only managed one flight today.  The sevo hiccups are terrible.  I still enjoyed the flight as best I could, with some slow piros, a bit of nose in hovering and some circuits.

When draining the tank of the remaining fuel, i noticed the header tank was sucking air, so i must check the clunk line.

8 minutes of flight time

It started off as a lovely day for flying.  Unfortunately the wind picked up a bit so choosing the right times to go for a flight was a challenge.

I decided to temp the increasing winds and have a bash with the Mini-Titan.  As flights with the MT have been few and far betwen, was a bit of familiarisation flight, with just some hovering etc.  I did manage some small circuits though.  It was interesting the way the heli would rise and fall as you turned into and away from the wind.

I replaced the engine bearings during the week.  They have made a huge difference to the noise of the engine.  It is so quiet now.

The enjoyment of flying is being marred by servo glitches, that only seem to be affecting the cyclic servos.  I am hoping to borrow an 8amp voltage regulator to see if the glitches, or a better description "hiccups" (the heli looks like it has the hiccups) will fix the issue.  If it does, then I will buy a better VR.

I still had 2 good flights though.  Doing...

Happy 4th birthday Connor

Started off a nice morning, but then started getting colder and the wind especially started to get extremely chilly.

I still managed two nice flights though.  The heli has developed a "hiccup" on the cyclics.  Occasionally it would twitch, usually with small elevator or aileron cyclic.  Something i will have to investigate.  Im wondering if something is sticking, so will have to investigate.

The flights consisted of hovering (left, right and tail in),...
