Blasted Ants!!!!!

About 4 minutes into the flight i discovered I was standing on an ant pathway.  The little buggas were crawling up my legs and biting.  I set down my heli, but unfortunately I didn't kill the power altogether, but just left the head spinning to keep her planted on the ground.  Or so i thought.  The wind was starting to pick up a bit, and while I was busy trying to kill some ants, and the heli tipped over

Well i am now officially a committee member for Southern Districts Model Car Club.  I have been an un-official committee member, helping Glenn out with the running of the nitro track at Morphett Vale, but is nice to be officially on the committee.  We have expanded the committee this year,  going up to 5 committe members.  All positions were deemed vacant (as they always are at an AGM).  After nominations and voting etc, Jarrod remained as President/Chairperson, and Denise as treasurer.  Glenn took...

Finally i manage to get some time when the weather isn't too hot or windy.

Another flight down (or should that be up?? LOL) with no dramas (phew!!)

The flight was mainly just hovering around, with a small bit of right and left side in.  I am having trouble with the sudden increase in responsiveness of the heli, so i am having to relearn a lot of things.  I am still able to hover in a smallish area (approx 2m square) about 15-20cms off the ground, but just need to get my confidence back...

A relatively uneventful, but rather interesting flight...

I created a ball link resizer by squeezing a spare ball with a pair of pliers to create a rough surface, I then went through and resized all the links so that the rods would fall under their own weight.  Some of the connections were very tight and took a fair bit of sizing to loosen them up.  After I had done this, I decided to see what sort of difference it made to the heli.

Well... What can i say...  The heli was a lot more...
